1st Annual Bring your Dog to Work Day

I feel so fortunate to work for a dog lover! Thanks to Assistant Director, Patty Batten, Jayadeva Dog got to shed (literally) her light on the Children's Aid Society!

She seemed to have a pretty good time, even though she was relegated to her travel bed under my desk most of the day.

We wanted to keep her contained, as some employees were scared of her, one was allergic and we have clients walking in and out who might be as well.

However, she had lots of visitors, a lot of good petting and even a bunch of pizza crusts, as we had to pizza catered events in the office that day. Thank you Monty's!

For a little while, I kept the door open, when her excitement wound down and I knew she'd be able to chill in the doorway. She liked keeping watch and Patty dubbed her, "PINS Mascot."

She liked having an official title. Created a great feeling of belonging, which we all know is very important to our pack animals friends.

Jaya finally tired out. She's used to napping all day long and this level of office-life excitement was just a little too much for her. She fell into her deepest sleep around 5pm and woke with an unaccustomed loud bark when Patty knocked on the door to bid her a goodbye. It was funny to hear her bark, because her elderly hearing doesn't even register when her daddy or I come home anymore.

Jaya would make a wonderful counselor for some of your clients.
How did you get her to work? did you take her on the train? did she run behind your bike? :)
